On March 3rd, Bryant’s campus will once again become host to the Bryant University Northeast Entrepreneurship Conference, better known to students as BUNEEC. Entering its seventh year of operation, the conference (which is open to all students and members of the community) will showcase a variety of distinguished speakers, all of whom are slated to provide networking opportunities for students, build intimate settings for informative discussions during breakout sessions, and immerse students in a repertory of keynote speeches.

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the six-hour event will be the headlining of Steve Forbes, the Chairman of Forbes Media and the Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Magazine, as well as Craig Dubitsky, the founder of the spherical lip balm, eos™, and Hello Products. This engaging lineup of entrepreneurial talent and prowess bolsters the conference’s trend of meteoric rise to being understood as the premier student entrepreneurship conference in the Northeast. Last year’s conference boasted the likes of Kevin Harrington, the inventor of the infomercial and one of the original sharks on the ABC hit show “Shark Tank”, as its headlining keynote speaker.

This year’s BUNEEC will also include two breakout sessions featuring ten speakers, representative of wide variety of business industries and topics. Speakers such as experienced executives, student entrepreneurs, and many others will allow for attendees of the conference to receive a first-hand education from the wisdom and experience of the almost a dozen breakout contributors.

The conference itself is unique from others like it, due primarily to the fact that it is planned, led, and executed entirely by students, for students, at Bryant and beyond.

“BUNEEC and CEO represent the best of Bryant and our entrepreneurial students. I am proud of this truly ‘student led’ organization that has consistently been rated in the top five entrepreneurship clubs in the nation. Having Steve Forbes here at Bryant University as the keynote for this major conference is yet another example of the incredible efforts of our students and faculty,” said Provost and Chief Academic Officer Glenn Sulmasy.

The BUNEEC team, helmed ably by senior Jacob Lewtan, could not be more thrilled and privileged to welcome the Bryant community, as well as students from throughout the Northeast region, and students passionate about leadership and entrepreneurship from in and around the local community, to an event where they will be able to discover and meld their own definition of entrepreneurship and make the transition from dreamers to doers.

For tickets and more information, either go to Eventbrite.com and search “BUNEEC” or email Jacob Lewtan at jlewtan@bryant.edu.
