The latest news that shocked the world was Kim Kardashian West’s holdup in Paris. Early Monday morning it was reported that Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel room. Allegedly, five masked men broke into her hotel room in the early hours of Monday morning, tied her up and gagged her with duct tape wrapped around her head, before locking her in the bathroom while they stole her valuables. According to an expert, it is “highly unlikely” that Kim will see the ten million dollars worth of jewelry ever again, including a four million dollar ring. She left France on Monday with her daughter, North, 3 years old, and son, Saint, 10 months old. The children were not present when the robbery occurred. The CCTV footage shows a black limo with tinted windows passing the building three times at 2:34am, 2:45am, and 2:54am. The Daily Mail also posted footage of an unidentified man driving a gray Fiat 500 weaving through traffic in an attempt to follow the car Kim was riding in after attending a fitting. Police officials believe that the crime was committed by a “highly organized” gang who did a great deal of planning before the raid. Sources said that “detectives are satisfied that the robbers could have easily tricked their way into Kardashian’s apartment block, but it is not clear how they got into her actual flat.” Law enforcement previously confirmed that the thieves attacked a male concierge to gain access to the apartment. The concierge was handcuffed when he opened the door to her apartment. Us Weekly discovered that a photographer had been obsessively following the Kardashians around Paris Fashion Week days earlier and was even able to get inside the restaurant they were dining in by dressing up as a policeman, the same method the thieves later used to gain access to her building. Sources told People magazine, “She really did think she was going to be raped. She had a gun to her head the whole time.” Us Weekly magazine reported that the perpetrators might have been tailing Kim all week dressed as a detective and a photographer. They were in their forties or fifties, and were of European appearance. They came and went on bicycles, and only spent a few minutes inside that flat, suggesting they knew what they were doing. The robbery incident, however, came on top of a bad week for the star in the city. On Wednesday, a prankster lunged at her as she was getting out of her car, causing her security guards to intervene. A source close to the investigation told reporters, “There have been no arrests, but we are slowly piecing together profiles of those involved in this crime.” Since arriving back to the States, the reality star “has been spending all her times with her kids and Kayne” and is trying to keep things “as normal as possible,” a source close to the family told People magazine. Kim is still “very emotionally” and “she’s not ready to talk about anything other than being with her family.” On October 6th, news broke that the poplar E! reality series has been placed “on hold indefinitely.” New episodes from the 12th season that have been filmed will resume on October 23rd.
